Investigation of wireless magnetometer in sensing magnetic field changes at different car direction and speed

The embedment of induction loop underground for traffic volume monitoring caused damaging effects to the road and reduced surface aesthetics. A wireless magnetometer implanted in a small uniform area was developed detect three-axis magnetic flux changes due perturbation vehicle passing over sensor. In this project, sensor system operating at radio frequency 2.4 GHz detecting transmitting Z-field data has been investigate patterns field associated with car directions speed. This is first report revealing responses different speed sensing directions. Field tests were conducted by passes direction in-line or countering X Y axes magnetometer. results showed that strong density as low -100 -230 ?T could be generated when passed axes. detection limit 60 kmph. X, Z obtained import designing an algorithm accurate counting vehicles.
